ML Built founder Matt, began his journey in the construction industry at the young age of 14, starting as a concrete laborer and finisher. Over the years, he worked his way up, gaining vast experience and developing a passion for the trade. This journey led to the creation of his own concrete business, which continues to thrive today.
Transitioning into residential construction allowed him to expand his expertise, focusing on custom projects that bring clients' dream spaces to life. His extensive experience working with various subtrades in Central Alberta gave him the confidence to start ML Built, a company dedicated to high-quality craftsmanship and client satisfaction.

In addition to his dedication to building exceptional spaces through ML Built, Matt brings his passion for hockey to the community as the head coach of the Red Deer Vipers in the Heritage Junior B Hockey League. Appointed in 2022, Matt signed a multi-year agreement and brings years of coaching experience to the team. Previously, he was the bench boss for the U18 AA Central Alberta Selects in Lacombe and has been a staple in central Alberta minor hockey.
Since taking on the role, Matt has focused on fostering a culture of consistency and dedication within the Vipers. He aims to return the team to its former glory as both one of the most skilled and hardest-working teams in the league. Matt describes himself as a player's coach, focusing on respect and clear expectations while adapting to the evolving nature of the game. Having grown up in Red Deer, hockey is a significant part of who he is and his connection to the community.
Matt's commitment to excellence and teamwork in hockey mirrors his approach to construction. Whether on the ice or at a job site, he emphasizes quality, dedication, and a collaborative spirit. His involvement in hockey not only enriches the community but also brings valuable leadership and project management skills to ML Built.
